Conversations

Lacey: "Mommy, you burn yourself on your arm with the curling iron?"
Me: "Yes, I did."
Lacey: "It's okay you do that Mommy. Don't worry, I still like you."

Lacey: "When I grow up I don't want to wear Mommy clothes."
Me: "Why not?"
Lacey: "You have boring clothes. They not fun. Your jammies don't even have little lambs, or hearts, or sparkles, and you can't twirl in your jammies like I can."
Me: "Some of my clothes have little flowers or sparkly buttons."
Lacey: "Still boring. It's okay that I don't wear Mommy clothes when I'm a Mommy?"
Me: "Sure."
Lacey: "Okay. Thanks."
